‘OVVIO’ tells us of the overwhelming urge to discover how far we can go before physics and chance defeat us. Where is the moment of perfection before the fall? The game will be the way to find the limit of the two protagonists and their confidence, the necessary rope that unites them and pushes them to continue.
David & Tomas are two multidisciplinary circus artists, specialized in a search for balance and manipulation, always using everyday objects. They love what they do, and this is something that can be seen in their eyes at the same time they go on stage with the idea of carrying out one of their dangerous and crazy games, constantly testing the courage and blind confidence that They have among them.

Masters of balance – and founders of Lapso Cirk – David Diez Mendez and Tomáš Vaclavek drag spectators to the edge of their seats with OVVIO. During the performance, two chairs and a number of simple wooden boards change into different obstacles that the duo must overcome, time and time again. The result is a breathtaking spectacle in which strength, concentration, courage and trust play an indispensable role. David and Tomáš defy the laws of gravity, but are very aware of the dangers of their profession. And even as they risk their necks, they know how to hypnotise and fascinate the audience – for in danger lies a powerful aesthetic that both captivates and takes the breath away. OVVIO is an exhilarating ode to overcoming fear, finding equilibrium, and the balance between play and tension.
