Body & Scream is a contemporary circus performance born from an intimate certainty:

my body knows things that only my body knows.

This project places the body at the center as a space of memory, instinct, and revelation. A body that has given birth, that has loved, that has fallen, that has known fear, that has needed to transform. A body that speaks before words — and when words are no longer enough, it cries out.

On stage, a woman crosses an inner landscape shaped by memories, fears, births, and desires. Her body falls, climbs, spins, and suspends itself. She does not tell a story with words — she remembers one through the body itself.

The scenic journey unfolds through aerial circus, static rope, flying rope, Cyr wheel, inverted walking, and whip work, woven into a physical dramaturgy where emotional and bodily limits constantly interact until the body discovers the air as a space of freedom.

A large white fabric accompanies the performer from the very beginning. It is not scenography, but a living presence: shadow and shelter, mother and wall, accomplice and adversary at once. It protects and challenges her, restrains and releases her — like everything we love. With it, she entangles, confronts, and ultimately emancipates herself.

Live music, performed on stage by two musicians, does not merely accompany the action: it breathes with the body, amplifies tremors and silences, and gives voice to the cry that does not pass through the mouth. From the dialogue between movement, sound, and air emerges a shared dramaturgy — alive and ever-changing.

Body & Scream does not begin with the question what can the body do?, but with a more radical one:
what does the body need in order to live?

The performance culminates in a profound gesture of freedom, where vulnerability transforms into strength and the body becomes a territory of beauty, resistance, and truth.
