The Cirque du Soleil Casting team is looking for a Caucasian Female Dancer with extreme flexibility and advanced acrobatic abilities to play in our resident show Mystère.
Location: Treasure Island hotel and casino, Las Vegas (Nevada, USA).
Duration of contract: Permanent (minimum 1 year).
Deadline for submissions: Immediate.
Character traits:
Female;
18 years old or older;
Caucasian;
Between 5'2'' and 5'8'';
Slender body type;
Fierce presence and a darker energy.
Requirements:
Ability to portray character’s traits;
Must have professional experience;
Very strong classical or contemporary dance technique;
Extreme flexibility (oversplit, contortion-like abilities);
Acrobatic abilities (Aerials, front and back walk overs, Back handspring step out, other unique acrobatics);
Solid stage presence and charisma;
Ability to perform ten shows a week.
Submissions instructions
If you meet these requirements, please submit your application, including:
Your resumé;
Two photos (one headshot and one full-body shot);
Video excerpts of the following elements:
A maximum one-minute presentation to the camera: tell us your name, general background and the reasons for your interest in joining Cirque du Soleil;
Recent footage of either studio work or stage performance. We must be able to see you clearly;
A 1 to 2 minute improvisation using music of your choice, keeping in mind the following key words: Fierce, dark queen, powerful, enticing. Please show us your full technical range, play with levels, and insert acrobatic elements in your improvisation.
Important information:
Only complete profiles (including a resumé/CV, photos and the requested demo video) will be evaluated by a talent scout from the Casting team. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
General terms and conditions of applying online:
The profile information of candidates will be used by Cirque du Soleil and its partners;
The material submitted by candidates will not be returned;
The material of candidates who are not selected may be destroyed by the Casting team;
